For decades artists have considered Kona Village one of the best places for light and for inspiration. Hawaiian Art Journey, directed by Robert Adams, facilitates drawing, painting and sculpting groups and classes.
“The core activities planned for each week-long Art Journey are sleep − to the sound of waves − wake, walk, draw, paint, sculpt, study, relax, eat, and rejuvenate,” according to Adams. “Participants are also likely to find focus and renewal in addition to art skills gained. They may well return home having experienced their best week of the year.” Adams adds that Hawaiian Art Journey caters to the easel arts including painting and drawing as well as small scale sculpture.
Artists, art instructors, or anyone interested in learning is encouraged to utilize the flexible format of Hawaiian Art Journey to create their own group for a week of their choosing, based on Kona Village availability. Organizers who bring ten or more paid enrollments for a week-long program receive their own stay complimentary. If there are fewer than ten paid enrollees, then organizers can create a class description to add to the Hawaiian Art Journey web site for others to see and enroll.
